Nourish Mama London.jpg

When I had my first baby, my husband and I had no other family around for support. Our little girl had colic and reflux and cried pretty much non-stop (or so it felt at the time!) This wasn’t quite how I’d pictured it would be. It struck me how there was no time to recover and heal following the birth, all attention was now focused on the demands of our daughter.

As a trained nutritionist, I knew the importance of a good diet at this time for recovery, breastfeeding, sustaining energy levels and supporting my mental health. However, it seemed a Herculean task to keep this small being happy all day as well as plan, shop and prepare a nourishing, home-cooked meal every evening. The occasional ready-meal or delivery is fine but I didn’t feel happy relying on these as my main source of nutrition.

10 years on and 3 children later I started to think about how I could help other new parents who may be in a similar position, I would have loved the Nourish Mama package as a new mum and my husband certainly would have too!

I have a Masters in Public Health Nutrition and a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition and am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) & the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
